Citizen’s Charter 2024

I. Mandate:

To provide a local governance aimed towards the effective delivery of basic services, to promote peace and order, ensure public safety and adopt policies that will further improve the general welfare and well-being of the people of Miagao.

II. Vision:

A Local Government unit that is transparent, accountable and responsive to its constituency through proper management of public affairs and public property manned by competent, honest and responsible officials and employees.

III. Mission:

To achieve an efficient, effective and transparent governance that is highly responsive to the needs of the public by promoting integrity, accountability, proper management of public affairs and public property and establishment of effective practices aimed at the prevention of graft and corruption in government and taking appropriate measures to promote transparency which shall encompass a program for the adoption of simplified procedures that will reduce red tape and expedite transactions in the local government.

ABOUT THE SERVICE

Under the pertinent provisions of R.A. No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, and its implementing rules and procedures the Sangguniang Bayan is given the sole authority to grant franchises for the operation of tricycles-for-hire within its territorial jurisdiction.

Pursuant to this mandate the Sangguniang Bayan enacted Municipal Ordinance No. 2010-02, as amended, prescribing guidelines and conditions for the granting, revocation and cancellation of franchise to operate tricycle-for-hire within the Municipality of Miagao.  The privilege to operate a tricycle for hire is open to all residents of the municipality, subject to certain conditions, upon meeting operational and financial requirements.

MIAGAOWANON CENTENARIANS GET LONGEVITY CASH

MIAGAO, Iloilo – Four Miagaowanon centenarians received their P30,000.00 longevity cash incentives from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office through the Municipal SWDO and the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs.
They are:
Lourdes Nedula – Barangay Tigmalapad
Esperanza Naringhon – Monreal, Barangay Fundacion
Ines Nufable – Bacawag – Barangay Maninila
Dolores Faicol – Barangay Tan-agan (not in photo)
The cash incentive awarded to them will be used to augment to their expenses in medicines and food.
