DAWOG AND DIDAY ARE LAWA AND BINHI BENEFICIARIES

Barangays Dawog and Diday are two of the luckiest barangays recently named beneficiaries of the popular Local Adaptation to Water Access (LAWA) and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished (BINHI) programs of the DSWD.
Each barangay hired 47 residents to build one Small Farm Reservoir and one Communal Garden.
On October 22, 2024, the team from the DSWD, headed by Ms. Jane Hervilla, conducted the Sustainability Planning (Day 19 of the 20-day Cash for Training and Work Activity). The event was also attended by former DSWD Regional Director Atty. Carmelo Nochete, who has been vital in bringing the program to Miagao.
The LAWA and BINHI programs aim to provide cash assistance to farmers and fisherfolk, enhancing water sufficiency and strengthening food security within the community.
