About the GREAT Women Project
The Gender-Responsive Economic Actions for the Transformation of Women (GREAT Women) Project is a governance and capacity development project that aims to promote and support a gender-responsive enabling environment for women’s economic empowerment, particularly those in microenterprises.
The Municipality’s Great Women Project in partnership with the University of the Philippines Visayas College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences – Institute of Fish Processing Technology (CFOS-IFPT) conducted a training on the Processing of Fermented Fish and Shrimp on March 8-9, 2012. The training involved the Subana Women Group (wives of fisherfolks of Baybay Norte, Miagao), recipient of the CIDA-LGU GREAT Women Project in collaboration with LGU Miagao and UPV CFOS IFPT
