The MELLPI Pro serves as the crucial monitoring and evaluation mechanism for the effective implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition at the local level.

Representing Mayor Richard Garin, SB Cezar Florece emphasized that the LGU wholeheartedly embraces all forms of evaluation. He noted that such assessments are instrumental in refining the local government’s ability to implement its plans and programs in alignment with DILG guidelines.

Each of the seven competing tribes for the Salakayan Festival will receive P265,000.00 as a subsidy in preparation for their performance during the Tribes’ Competition on February 10, 2024.
This was announced by Mayor Richard Garin to the school heads in a meeting at the MCES Conference Room on January 9, 2024.
According to Mayor Garin, the portion of the budget will be used for the purchase of musical instruments to be used by the schools in the Tribes’ and Drum Corp competitions.
“For the past years, na notice ta nga laban pangayaw sa mga instrumentalists. So, ma request kita nga ang instrumentalists will be 50% local and 50% import. In that way, ma amat- amat naton train ang aton mga kabataan,” said Mayor Garin.
Salakayan Festival is slated on February 5-11, 2024.
