On November 4, 2024, a group of 76 senior citizens from Miagao received a cash incentive of P10,000.00, courtesy of the local government under the leadership of Mayor Richard Garin. The distribution event took place at the JRBB Hall.

The beneficiaries, aged between 90 and 99 years, were recognized for their remarkable contributions to the community.

In his heartfelt message, Mayor Garin expressed his hope that this assistance would help meet their essential needs, including food and medications. This initiative not only provides financial support but also honors the invaluable role these seniors play in society.

A total of 231 barangay officials—specifically secretaries and treasurers—received vital assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) ‘Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita’ (AKAP) program at the Regional Evacuation Center on November 4, 2024.

The distribution event was led by Congresswoman Dr. Janette Loreto-Garin, under the banner of Responsableng Gobyerno.

In his address, Mayor Richard Garin expressed heartfelt gratitude for Congresswoman Garin’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the lives of the Miagaowanons. He emphasized that this support, tailored for those in need, represents a significant step toward community empowerment and resilience.
