BLISS EVACUATION CENTER ROAD ON THE WAY

The Department of Public Works and Highways will be working on the construction of the Bliss Evacuation Center Road.
This, after the Department successfully conducted the pre-construction conference for the project at the Regional Evacuation Center on September 28, 2023.
Headed by the DPWH officials and Mayor Richard Garin, the conference aims to iron out kinks that would possibly affect the full implementation of the project.
The scope of work includes the construction of 1 458 km x 6 10m concrete road with 1.5m shoulder and a rectangular concrete lined canal on selected sections including stone masonry and curb and gutter.

The members of the Municipal Peace and Order Council and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council here convened for the regular quarterly meeting at the Executive Conference.
The meeting served as venue for the members to revisit the status of the peace and order and public safety and internal security operations in Miagao, among others.

MIAGAO RECEIVES P3-MILLION KADIWA FUND

The Municipality of Miagao receives the amount of P3-million fund to finance the programs and projects of 8 accredited associations, namely:
– NACTI Vegetable Noodles & Chips Processors Association
– Miagao Rural Improvement Club
– Miagao Bulb Onion Producers Association
– Miagao Farmers Agricultural Cooperative
– Miagao Weavers Association
– Ongyod Coffee Association
– Miagao Organic Black Rice Producers Association
– Sitio Guisian Farmers Association
The KADIWA is an initiative of the Department of Agriculture that is programmed to ensure the availability and affordability of food in areas with high demand and in communities with low-income families.
The program taps farmer cooperatives and associations, members of the private sector, and other agricultural stakeholders in its implementation.

TYPHOON PAENG AFFECTED FARMERS GET ASSISTANCE

Some 18 Miagaowanon farmers received their goat livelihood assistance in a distribution at the DA Food Terminal on September 27, 2023.
Municipal Agriculturist Ms. Ma Frea Monsale said that the assistance hopes to provide immediate relief from the effects of the calamity in the livelihood of these beneficiaries.
