A total of 174 Miagaowanons received their compensation for their 10-day services rendered as DOLE Tupad beneficiaries on time, beautifully coinciding with Independence Day on June 12, 2024.

DOLE Tupad, a community-based package of assistance, was brought to the Miagaowanons through the earnest efforts of Congresswoman Janette L. Garin.
This program, handled by PESO Miagao, provides emergency employment for displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers, extending a lifeline for a minimum of 10 days.

In an effort to bolster both the morale and unity of the team, Mayor Richard Garin actively participated in the regular assembly of the Municipal Health Office on June 11, 2024.

The discourse encompassed an array of strategic initiatives and immediate health-related issues, such as the implementation of operation tuli, comprehensive screenings for breast and cervical cancer, blood donation drives, and the Bantay Kalusugan program, among other vital matters.

All sectors, led by Mayor Richard Garin, gathered for the celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day in Miagao today, June 12, 2024.
The event, which unfolded in three stages at the Municipal Building, Municipal Plaza, and JRBB Hall, each underscored the pivotal moments of 1962. This historic day, celebrated annually on June 12, marks the nation’s declaration of independence from Spanish colonial rule in 1898, an event that indelibly altered the course of Philippine history.
This year’s keynote speaker, Mr. Felipe Montealto, PhD (hc), emphasized the theme β€œKalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan.”
