MIAGAO HOLDS FORUM TO END VAW

The Municipal Local Government under the leadership of Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin Jr. , conducted a forum as part of the 18-day campaign to END Violence Against Women (VAW) at the Kiga Hall in Barangay Guibongan on November 28, 2023.
Part of the forum was the orientation on Psychological First Aid given by Mr. Don Sasu of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
Furthermore, Dr. Jureca F. Nacional presented the results of their research entitled Awareness on the Basic Provisions of the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 (Anti-VAWC Law).
The said activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office and the Office of SB Member Japhet Grace Moleta.
It was supported by the VAWC Desk Officers/ Kagawads Committee on Women and Family, KALIPI, Solo Parents Association of Miagao and youth volunteers of Miagao.
