Some 1190 barangay officials took their oath of office before Congresswoman Janette Garin in a ceremonial oath raking ceremony during the Liga Night at the Miagao Plaza on December 19, 2023.

Congresswoman Janette Garin officiated the oath of office of the 1190 newly elected barangay officials in a ceremony during the Liga Night on December 19, 2023.
In her message, Congresswoman Garin told everyone extend a reconciliation hand to their opponent in the barangay.
“Indi kamo mag dumot. Unity starts in every home, barangay. Unity is the link that will cut across all barriers. Kay ang pinakamayad nga mapanubli ta sa mga apo ta is a peaceful and progressive Miagao,” she said.

On Halad sa Kabataan MAYOR RSG THANKS SPONSORS VOWS TO WORK ON AN EVEN HAPPIER CELEBRATION WITH CHILDREN
Mayor Richard Garin sincerely thanked the members of the Miagao Salakayan Incorporated—the prime mover of the annual Halad sa Kabataan, and the private individuals who sponsored the one-day activity.
He even vowed to make the celebration happier and memorable to the Miagaowanons in the coming’s years of the celebration.
“Maninguha guid si Mayor Richard Garin nga mapasadya pa guid ang Halad sa Kabataa, imaw sa MSI kag sa mga private sectors, maninguha guid kita nga malipay ang aton mga kasimanwa sa bilog nga banwa,” he said.
During the activity, pre-identified children in Miagao are treated to a one -day party with countless games, prizes, surprises, and presents.
“Maninguha pa guid kita nga ma hugpong, ma unite naton ang tanan nga mga kabataan para sa ikanami pa guid kang banwa ta. Para sa dugang pa guid nga kaaraydan kang Miagao kag kang masunod pa guid nga generasyon,” Mayor Garin concluded.
Halad sa Kabataan is an annual activity of the local government in tandem with the MSI and some private sectors and individuals.
BPSF UPDATES. Some 60,000 Ilonggos are expected to converge at Guimbal National High School and to other venues for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair on December 9-10, 2023.
In Miagao, the Regional Evacuation Center will be the venue for the LAB for All medical consultations, JRBB Hall for the DSWD services, and SK Covered Court for the payout of DOLE TUPAD.
