CDW RECEIVES SUBSIDY

It was a joyful day for the Child Development Workers of Miagao as they received their subsidy equivalent to one year on October 4, 2024, during their Training in Early Detection of Children With Special Needs at the JRBB Hall.
In his message, Mayor Richard Garin emphasized the importance of education, calling it a “must” for everyone. He expressed his strong support for the programs and projects focused on child development in the community.
The training was a two-day event featuring Dr. Myra Angelie D. Oliveros from WVSU as the resource speaker.
 

CONGRATULATIONS, Miagao!

The Municipality of Miagao was awarded the title of Top Performing Municipality in Cacao and Coffee Production at the recently concluded Farmers and Fisherfolks Week, held at Passi Arena in Passi City on October 4, 2024.
Based on records from the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist, Miagao has produced 2.5 metric tons per hectare of cacao from 2021 to 2023 and 0.87 metric tons per hectare of coffee from 2021 to 2023.

SLP BENEFICIARIES ANEW

Six barangays have been fortunate to be selected as beneficiaries of P300,000.00 in assistance under the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
On October 3, 2024, Mayor Richard Garin, alongside former DSWD RD Atty. Carmelo Nochete, personally presented the check to the punong barangays of Matalngon, Cadoldolan, Maduyo, Alimodias, Toog, and Buenavista Sur.
This funding will support the residents’ cattle fattening project in these barangays, providing a boost to their livelihood and enhancing community resilience.
 

HUNTER BATALLION SPORTSFEST

Mayor Richard Garin expressed his unwavering support for the Philippine Army, showing gratitude to the dedicated men and women in uniform for restoring peace, order, and security to Southern Panay.
On October 3, 2024, Mayor Garin served as the guest of honor and speaker at the 61st IB Hunter Battalion Sportsfest 2024.
In his speech, Mayor Garin commended the soldiers for their countless sacrifices made for the nation.
This annual event, organized by the company under the leadership of LTC Arturo Balgos, serves not only as a recreational gathering but also fosters camaraderie and strengthens relationships among the troops.

ONLINE SEXUAL ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN CARAVAN AND SEMINAR

Mayor Richard Garin expressed his commitment and support for the endeavor concerning children.
On October 3, 2024, Mayor Richard Garin thanked those who were in attendance during the one-day caravan and seminar on Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, an activity spearheaded by SB Japhet Moleta, in partnership with PLDT and Smart Communications.
In his message, Mayor Garin stated that the mere presence of everyone is an expression of support for this very important concern in our community.
