‘MCES SPECIAL SCIENCE LABORATORY’

Mayor Richard Garin, represented by SB Member Hon. Cezar Florece, was the guest of honor at the inauguration of Miagao Central Elementary School’s Special Science Laboratory on April 17, 2024.
The laboratory tables and plumbing work were made possible through the funding support of the local government under its Special Education Fund.
The project is part of Mayor Garin’s commitment to support the programs and projects of the Department of Education that are beneficial to Miagaowanons.

‘BSPO OATH TAKING’

The newly elected officers of the Association of Barangay Service Point Officers here took their oath of office before Mayor Richard Garin at the JRBB Hall on April 16, 2024.
Headed by its new president, Mrs. Rosemarie Galvan, the BSPO oath-taking ceremony was held on time for the BSPO Performance Evaluation Target Setting and Formulation of their 2024 Annual Work Plan.
The BSPO is an organization of volunteers who provide population-related data, household surveys, updates, and campaigns on Responsible Parenthood and Adolescent Health and Youth Development.

MIAGAO EXTENDS ASSISTANCE TO NPA SURRENDEREE

Mayor Richard Garin pledges support to the NPA rebels who voluntarily surrendered and returned to the arm of the government on April 16, 2024.
According to MSWDO Mrs. Rosalinda Mueda, the rebel, 37, received a financial assistance from the local government, the Philippine Army and from Mayor Richard Garin.
The MSWDO is also working on the assistance due to the surrenderee under EO 70 (Whole of the Nation Approach) which includes livelihood assistance and other support services.

MAYOR RSG LEADS DISTRIBUTION OF ALLOWANCE TO RG SEAL SCHOLARS

Mayor Richard Garin led the distribution of allowance to some 173 Responsableng Gobyerno Scholarship Education Assistance and Loans (RG SEAL) scholars in a ceremony held at the ISAT U Covered Gym on April 16, 2024.
In his message, Mayor Garin highlighted the value of gratitude to the government for having such programs on education. Further, he said that the Responsableng Gobyerno, headed by Congresswoman Doc Nanay Janette L. Garin, is also diligent in looking for funds to provide more education programs for the Miagaowanons.
The RG SEAL is an expanded version of Miagao Assistance to College Graduate. The program provides incentives to graduates with recognitions, loans, and others as part of the benefits to its grantees.

‘CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE’

Mayor Richard Garin finds joy in meeting the people in the barangay.

Mayor Garin expressed his support for the celebration of the Patubas Festival of Barangay Olango.
In his message, he lauded the barangay officials for holding the festival dedicated to expressing gratitude for the bountiful harvest that the barangay’s farmers have reaped throughout the year.

Mayor Richard Garin ensures that even the small details of the engineering works are being followed in accordance with his instructions.
