Mayor Richard Garin was the guest of honor during the 2nd Bombay Festival Film Night on April 22, 2024.

Mayor Garin, a film enthusiast himself and founder of Guimbal and Miagao iFilm, lauded the barangay officials for holding an activity that supports the local government’s program on film production.
Now in its second year, Bombay Festival is held annually in gratitude for the bountiful harvest of onions, locally known as bombay, that the barangay’s farmers have reaped throughout the year.

ANOTHER NPA MEMBER SURRENDERS MAYOR RSG EXTENDS PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

Mayor Richard Garin pledges support to the member of the New People’s Army (NPA) who voluntarily surrendered and returned to the arms of the government on April 22, 2024.
The NPA member, 24 years old, female, yielded to the 61st Infantry Hunter Battalion under LTC Arturo Balgos due to extreme hunger, hardships, and demoralization during her stay as a member of the NPA.
On top of the assistance from the government, Mayor Garin personally extended financial assistance.

Now on its Day 2, the venue was packed with Miagaowanons who wished to avail of free medical and laboratory services.
The program, designed by the Office of Congresswoman Doc Nanay Janette Garin, aimed to ease the financial burden of Miagaowanons who were due for medical and laboratory check-up.
