Mayor Richard Garin treats human resources as an important asset in the organization. Today. 16 permanent employees, some of them have been with the local government for 16 years already, promoted to a higher level position.
This is one of the strategies of the current administration to allow regularization in municipal government positions.
“Ang ginvacate nga positions kang mga na promote will be advertised. It will be an opportunity for all. ,” Mayor Richard Garin said.

MIAGAO PRACTICES BOSS AT THE MUNICIPAL HALL

It is now a centralized location of services at the municipal building for all offices that has been involved in the renewal of permits and licenses.
The Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) arrangement has been implemented after Mayor Richard Garin requested for the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection to be at the municipal hall for the period of the renewal of permits.
Other offices that joined the BOSS are MTO, MENRO, MHO and OMA.

MAYOR RSG TO DEPARTMENT HEADS: SET GOALS, DIRECTIONS

New Year, new beginning that Mayor Richard Garin challenges municipal government department heads to set goals and directions for their respective offices and the local government.
“To what direction are you heading for your office? What is your target for the town of Miagao?,” Mayor Garin highlighted during the first executive conference for 2023 on January 4th.
Mayor Garin discussed the pressing concern on cleanliness of the town, reorganization of the Bids and Awards Committee, management of job hires, office supplies and gasoline, office uniform, establishment of the Business One-Stop-Shop and the preparation for transfer of all MLGU offices at the Miagao Public Market.
“New year is the start of everything. Your role is vital in the success of this administration. Set goals and directions for the town of Miagao,” he concluded.

On Salakayan Festival MAYOR RSG ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

MIAGAO, Iloilo – The 2023 Salakayan Festival will be an event for the community and the masses.
In his message to the tribe managers, choreographers and school heads during their meeting today, Mayor Richard Garin said that the members of each tribe must come from the community.
“This event will improve the community participation. The success of this dance drama competition hanggud guid nga bagay ang dara kang barangay,” Mayor Garin said.
On top of this, the events lined-up for the weeklong Salakayan Festival were designed to highlight the participation of the masses.
Slated on February 11, 2023, the Dance Drama Competition will be participated in by eight competing tribes namely:
⁃ Tribu Baclayanon
⁃ Tribu Bacolodnon
⁃ Tribue Salagyawan
⁃ Tribu Bantalaan
⁃ Tribu Tabuk- Tabuk
⁃ Tribu Tabun-ak
⁃ Tribu Kabugwason
⁃ Tribu Kirayanon

WHO’S READY FOR THE SALAKAYAN 2023?

The members of the Salakayan Festival Committee and the Punong Barangays meet minds today to finalize the preparation of the Salakayan Festival 2023 slated on February 6-12, 2023.
During the meeting, the barangays were briefed of the schedule of activities, clustering barangays that will support the tribes, rules of the Salakayan Dance Competition, among others.
