COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSONS FINALIZE PASKWA SA BANWA SCHEDULE

It is final. The chairpersons of various committees for the Paskwa sa Banwa finalized the schedule of activities slated on December 16 – 23, 2023 in a meeting held earlier today.
The activities include Drum and Lyre Competition, Search for Miss Teen 2023, Search for Little Miss Miagao 2023, Lantern Parade, Halad sa Kabataan, SK Night, Liga Night, U Nite, Miagao Film Festival, among others.
In his message, Mayor Richard Garin requested all the committee chairpersons to work on the minimal budget provided for the activities. As such, are expected to submit their budget proposals and defend it in the next meeting.

BUDBUD SALT PRODUCTION HIGHLIGHTS LEARNINGS OF NAVOTAS LGU

The traditional salt production – Budbud is one of the highlights of the learnings of the officials and employees of the City of Navotas in their visit today.
They visited Miagao to benchmark the Gender and Development Programs of the LGU, to which Budbud is one of its support programs.

MIAGAO SHOWCASES HEALTHY HEARTS PROGRAM TO OTHER LGU

The Healthy Hearts Program of the Municipality of Miagao centered on the benchmarking visit of some municipalities of the Provinces of Antique and Iloilo for the next three days.
Today, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Rhea Palacios shared the best practices of Miagao, particularly in the implementation of its Healthy Hearts Program, to the Municipal Health Officers and staff of the municipalities of Barbaza, Culasi and Bugasong in Antique and Banate and Badiangan in Iloilo.
The visit of other municipalities was scheduled in batches for three days, starting today.

MIAGAO HOSTS DSWD MEETING PARTICIPANTS MONITOR SLP SITES

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region VI picked the Municipality of Miagao as venue of their three-day Middle Managers Meeting on November 6 to 8, 2023.
The group also visited some of the organizations that have availed of their Special Livelihood Programs such Barangay Diday Amakan Project, NACTIA in Barangay Naclub, and Baraclayan Communal Garden that was maintained by the 4Ps beneficiaries.

Thanks to Congresswoman Janette L. Garin for the additional capital that these beneficiaries will receive once they qualify for another round of Special Livelihood Program for small and medium microentrepreneurs.
Earlier today, the Department of Social Welfare and Development conducted the screening of applicants who submitted their documents for the said Program.
It was held at the Regional Evacuation Center.
