Mayor Richard Garin visited on Friday, December 1, 2023, the Rural Health Unit in Barangay Guibongan and Camp Monteclaro in Barangay Igtuba to check on some major modifications and facelifting of these structures.
Joined by LTC Arturo Balgos, Mayor Garin said that the camp will get a major face lift. These include the repair of buildings, quarters, and roads.

Mayor Richard Garin joined in the first regular meeting of the new members of the Association of Punong Barangays here.
“Successful barangay governance is your responsibility,” he said.
Among the things that he presented to them was his plan for the barangays to handle the collection of garbage.
He also enjoined everyone in the celebration of Paskwa sa Banwa in December.

Mayor Richard Garin led the welcome party for the Philippine Experience Caravan Western Visayas on November 30, 2023.
The caravan headed by DOT Secretary Maria Esperanza Christina Garcia Frasco was among the DOT’s cultural tourism product development programs that aimed to highlight the Filipino brand and identity in all the aspects of travel and tourism experience.
The visit to Miagao recognized the town as one of the travel destinations that is rich in cultural and historical inheritance in Western Visayas.
The visited Miagao Church, experienced its tradition, and tasted the delicacies that are unique in Miagao.

The Rural Health Unit staff is now serving its clients under a new home in Barangay Guibongan.
In his message, Mayor Richard Garin said that he worked on the completion of the building to give an even wider, bigger space for Miagaowanons.
With the bigger space, Dr. Rhea Palacios said in interview that they can already work on the application for medical laboratory.

The Municipal Local Government under the leadership of Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin Jr. , conducted a forum as part of the 18-day campaign to END Violence Against Women (VAW) at the Kiga Hall in Barangay Guibongan on November 28, 2023.
Part of the forum was the orientation on Psychological First Aid given by Mr. Don Sasu of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
Furthermore, Dr. Jureca F. Nacional presented the results of their research entitled Awareness on the Basic Provisions of the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 (Anti-VAWC Law).
The said activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office and the Office of SB Member Japhet Grace Moleta.
It was supported by the VAWC Desk Officers/ Kagawads Committee on Women and Family, KALIPI, Solo Parents Association of Miagao and youth volunteers of Miagao.
