BARANGAY VISIT TO BARANGAY CUBAY

Mayor Richard Garin led the Responsableng Gobyerno initiative to support the barangays.
On November 14, 2024, the team visited Barangay Cubay to present a check for the Canalization of the barangay and to disburse its share of the Real Property Tax.
Mayor Garin expressed gratitude to the community for their ongoing support of his administration, promoting the slogan “Miagao Palangga Ta, Progreso Padayunon Pa.”

MIAGAO LOOM WEAVING CENTERS RECEIVE SSF ASSISTANCE FROM DTI

On November 14, 2024, the two prominent weaving centers in Miagao were endowed with crucial equipment and materials for hablon weaving through the Shared Service Facility Assistance program of the Department of Trade and Industry.
It may be noted that the beneficiaries, Indag-an and Baraclayan Weaving Centers, stand out as leading producers of hablon products in the area.
In his address, Mayor Garin expressed profound appreciation to the DTI, particularly to Regional Director Rachel N. Nufable and Provincial Director Ma. Dinda R. Tamayo, for their steadfast dedication to uplifting Miagao’s loom weaving sector. Their unwavering support is instrumental in fostering the sustainability and growth of this treasured local craft.

MIAGAO READIES FOR CDSA

Members of the Local School Board, headed by Mayor Richard Garin, convened to discuss the support the local government will provide to the athletes and participants in the upcoming First Congressional District Association Meet scheduled for January 2025.

MDRRMC LEADS COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY DRILL FOR ISAT U FACULTY AND STUDENTS

On November 14, 2024, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, under the leadership of Engr. Franco Carlo Monteclaro, successfully conducted a Comprehensive Earthquake and Fire Drill for the faculty and students of Iloilo Science and Technology University—Miagao Campus.
This drill was an integral part of a series of training sessions at ISAT U, demonstrating the university’s steadfast commitment to ensuring safety and preparedness in the face of potential disasters. Through such initiatives, the institution aims to equip its community with essential skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of resilience and readiness.

ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUAL IN CRISIS SITUATION’

The local government has consistently provided Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) to Miagaowanons.
AICS is one of the social welfare services offered by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, with the strong backing of Mayor Richard Garin.
The program offers a range of support, including medical assistance, burial, transportation, education, food, and financial help for other essential needs of individuals and families.
