On November 25, 2024, a total of 782 Miagaowanons benefited from the support provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) ‘Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita’ (AKAP) program at the Regional Evacuation Center.
The distribution event was spearheaded by BM Joan Germinanda, who represented Congresswoman Doc Nanay Janette Garin, under the auspices of Responsableng Gobyerno.
In his address, Mayor Richard Garin conveyed his deep appreciation for Congresswoman Garin’s steadfast commitment to improving the lives of Miagaowanons. He underscored that this assistance, specifically designed for those facing hardships, marks a major lift toward fostering community empowerment and resilience.
In keeping with his comprehensive executive agenda for sports, Mayor Richard Garin actively endorses a wide array of athletic initiatives within the community.
Most recently, he participated in the award ceremony for the basketball tournament held in Barangay Lumangan, where he also provided financial support for the payment in the hiring of the sound system used in the event.
