Schools get 1.8 million worth of Total Projects

Mayor Macario Napulan, MD meet with the heads and representative of various schools to work on the implementation of some P1.8 million worth of projects funded under the Special Education Fund.

“I want all of these to be implemented. Basi amo na lang ja ang pag iririmaw ta nga Mayor ako. I want to leave something for your schools,” said Mayor Napulan.

In view of this, Mayor Napulan instructed them to coordinate with the Engineering Office for technical assistance and guidance in the preparation of the documents.

For the part of the school heads, they confirmed that they need the funds and they will implement the project the soonest.

The following are the schools and their proposed projects:

– District of Miagao West (ALC) Repair of AlC 50,000

– Oyungan Elementary School Playground 100,000 Oyungan Elementary School Building Repair, 45,000

– Aguiauan Elementary School, Building & Other Structure 100,000

– Valencia Elementary School Building & Other Structure 80,000

– Malagyan Elementary School Building & Other Structure 70,000

– Indag-an Tan-agan Elementary School Building & Other Structure 50,000

– Igbita – Tigmalapad Elementary School Building & Other Structure 200,000

– Bacolod Elementary School Building & Other Structure 150,000

– La Consolacion Integrated School Improvement of Kinder Room 300,000

– Miagao West Central School Improvement of HE 100,000

– Pungtod-Caitib Elementary School Improvement of Gulayan sa Paaralan 10,000

– Miagao West Central Elementary School Aircon for the ICT room 40,000

– Monteclaro Elementary School Laptop & Printer (ICT) 50,000

– Miagao West Central Elementary School Laptop & Printer 50,000

– San Jose Elementary School Improvement of Perimeter Fence 50,000

– Alejandro Firmeza National High School Repair of SMAW Building Roof 20,000

– Miagao National High School Improvement of School Buildings 200,000

– Bacolod National High School Improvement of School Buildings 200,000.

Forty one Returning Miagaowanons to avail of P50,000.00 Assistance

Some 41 returning Miagaowanons qualified under the Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag asa Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development will receive P50,000.00 as assistance.

According to Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Mrs. Rosalinda Mueda, the assistance extended to the beneficiaries will help them begin a new life in Miagao.

“The program aims to provide opportunities for families from urban areas who will commit to stay in Miagao. This is also our way of ensuring their safety and protection amidst this COVID19 pandemic,” said Mrs. Mueda.

In the long term, the program aims to also decongest the highly urbanized cities where they came from as the country combats its concern on COVID19.

Mayor Macario Napulan for his part welcomed the program and expressed his appreciation to the DSWD for having such program that could benefit the Miagaowanons.

The beneficiaries were earlier screened, assessed and evaluated by MSWD staff. Earlier today, the staff from the DSWD central and field offices came to conduct an orientation to the beneficiaries.

An additional 1,623 Miagaowanons were Vaccinated in the two-day roll out on November 9 and 10, 2021.

The turn out was reached through the doubling effort of the Municipal Health Office vaccination team headed by Dr. Rhea Palacios in tandem with the personnel from Provincial Health Office.

On November 9th, the MHO opened their vaccination to minors in a simple ceremonial pediatric vaccination program at the JRBB Hall.

Time and again, Mayor Macario Napulan asked for the cooperation of all Miagaowanons especially in getting the vaccines in order for Miagao to achieve herd immunity.

MHO Vax Team goes to the Barangay

In the aim to reach out to everyone who wished to avail of the COVID19 vaccination, the Municipal Health Office Vaccination Team headed by Dr. Rhea Palacios has been extending all efforts to bring it closer to the people.

Today, MHO started heir barangay-based vaccination and Barangay Damilisan is on their first list.

They have been targeting the barangays that has the most number of infected residents in the past months. As a result, 70 residents got their jab.

To date, the MHO reported 11 active cases with zero new cases in the past days.

LGU Miagao joins 4th National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Officials and employees of the Local Government of Miagao lead by Mayor Macario N. Napulan, MD participate in the simultaneous earthquake and fire drill by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office through the Office of Civil Defense at the Municipal Building Grounds on November 12, 2020.

The drill was facilitated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Ms. Arlene T.  Nufuar together with the Bureau of Fire Protection –Miagao Station headed by SFO4 Berna D. Cataluña, OIC-Municipal Fire Marshall.

The conduct of the nationwide earthquake and fire drill aim to intensify local communities’ earthquake preparedness and increase the commitment of local government units in building safe communities amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
