Through the effort of Congresswoman Janette L. Garin, some 1,621 Miagaowanons will again be given assistance through DOLE TUPAD or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers.
Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr in his speech thanked Congresswomen Garin for giving priority to the Miagaownons and for her consistent effort in addressing their needs. Mayor Garin said that, in partnership with Congresswoman Garin, he will continue to deliver the services that is vital and necessary for the best interest of the Miagaowanons.
DOLE TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers for 10 days.

Strictly impose Building Code, Mayor Garin told Engineers

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr told the personnel from the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) to strictly implement the National Building Code as one of the major concerns of the Office.
This is just one of the many instructions to the MEO as he also asked for the inventory of all existing projects.
It may be noted that Infrastructure Development is top 3 in his Executive Agenda.

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin Jr also took a break from his usual work in the office and joined with the employees in their zumba exercises. Dubbed as “Hataw”, the activity acknowledged the importance of health and wellness in the workplace that it requires employees to participate in zumba and other physical activities every Wednesday of the week.

Laughters filled the air as Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr expressed his support to the plan, programs, and activities of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office. In fact, he approved their request for the purchase of new service vehicle for their use in their dispatch of duties and responsibilities for the Miagawanons.

Mayor RSG leads Budget Call Bares 10-Point Executive Agenda

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr led the first Budget Forum in his administration at the JRBB Hall earlier today. The Budget Forum, attended by municipal officials and department heads, is the start of the preparation of the CY 2023 Annual Budget.
In the Forum Mayor Garin bared his 10-Point Executive Agenda to wit:
1. Health and Pandemic& Recovery
2. Infrastructure Development
3. Livelihood, Labor and Employment Program
4. Agricultural and Fishery Development
5. Tourism Development and Promotion
6. Economic Enterprise Development
7. Peace and Order and Public Safety
8. Social Welfare and Education Development
9. Youth and Sports Development
10. Environmental Management and Protection
Mayor Garin will live by the challenge of the projected decrease in the 2023 National Tax Allotment of P39,054,516.00 or 14.47% lower than the NTA of 2022.

Engineer at Work

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr giving specific instructions to the engineers of the DPWH 1st Engineering District and IBC Builders, the contractor of the P48million shoreline protection project in Barangay Baybay Norte earlier today.
Mayor Garin, an engineer by profession, instructed them how it should be done to ensure an even stronger foundation to effectively alter the effects of waves in the area.
During the inspection, Mayor Garin was joined by BM Carmelo Nochete, SB member Aaron Noble and Engr. Rey Mosura.
