‘Taste of Miagaowanon hospitality’

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr let his guests feel at home as he sits down in a dinner with the visitors from the National Commission for Culture and Arts at Sulu Garden here.
The NCCA personnel were here for two days to extend their technical assistance in updating world heritage marker particularly for the baroque Miagao Church.

Offices are now busy prepping for the Annual Budget 2023. Photos show the preliminary Budget Hearing with Atty. Henida Genise, SB Chairperson Committee on Appropriations Hon. Cezar Florece, OIC Budget Officer Sheila Marie Montehermoso and the Heads of Offices concern. The activity is a 3-day event that will initially screen the offices’ budget proposals and ensures that their plans and programs are aligned with the 10-Point Executive Agenda of Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin. Jr.

Who could be the best tour guide and historian of the place than the Municipal Mayor?
Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr tells the history of the town to the personnel from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts as they paid courtesy visit to him earlier today.
They came to Miagao to conduct site inspections and consultative meetings with the key stakeholders of all the serial component of the Miagao Church.
They are also here to update the specific World Heritage site markets of the Baroque Miagao Church.
For his part, Mayor Garin shared his plans for Miagao in his dream of making the whole town as tourist destination to include putting up of railings and lightings from the Tumagbok Bridge to the town proper with designs that will complement the Church. Also in his plans are the shoreline and riverbank protections that will provide access to the famous Church.

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr attentively listens to the reports of department heads while he as well sends out instruction on how each offices can improve their services for the good of the Miagaowanons.
Each offices highlighted their major accomplishments and presented their plans, programs and activities to Mayor Garin.

UPDATES I PHW gets livelihood

Through the facilitation of Congresswoman Doc Nanay Janette L. Garin, the Municipality of Miagao was given an allocation in the sustainable livelihood program of the DSWD. As such, fifteen Public Health Workers will enjoy such livelihood assistance.
