‘Empower BHS’

“Kumpletuhon ta ang gamit sa inyo Barangay Health Stations. We will improve the quality of work in the health stations,” Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr highlighted in his message to the Sangguniang Barangay Chairperson Committee on Health during their 1st General Assembly Acquaintance and Oath Taking Ceremony, at Noble Beach earliertoday.
According to Mayor Garin, his desire for Miagao is to bring huge development and that he is thinking of projects for the Miagao regardless of political affiliations.
“Rest assured that I am here to support. Mabulig ako sa inyo kinahanglanon because Health is in fact on top of my priority agenda. Basta we are one, because we Miagaowanons are for a better Miagao,” he concluded.

UPDATES I KALIPI Oath-taking

The members of the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) shared some happy moments with Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr during their oath-taking ceremony today.
This women organization was developed by the DSWD to support and empower women. KALIPI Miagao is headed by Mrs. Lorlier Noblezada sa president.

UPDATES I Education Matters

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr checks on some pressing concerns relative to education as he convened for the first time the members of the Local School Board today.
During the meeting, they revisited the2022 SEF Budget and Surplus and the status of implementation of the 2013 to 2022 projects funded by the Special Education Fund.
According to Mayor Garin, his main goal for the LSB is ‘to attain quality education’ through quality teachers, conducive environment for learning of children, parents and teachers participation, among others.

“OFW are our modern day heroes because you contribute to our economic growth. Most importantly, you are heroes because of your sacrifices to give your family comfortable life. I just hope that someday your emotional and financial comfort will come in one place.” – Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr said before the officers of the Miagao OFW Family Circle during their oath-taking ceremony earlier today.

UPDATES I From the Legislative Corner

Miagao local legislators here got the chance to sit down over coffee and reflect on their roles and purpose as legislators. This, as they celebrate the year two of the Kape at Imahinasyon: Reimagining Local Legislation relative to the celebration of Semana sang mga Konsehal sa Iloilo.
Earlier today, Oton Vice Mayor Jose Niel Olivares shared his experiences and challenges as a local legislator. They also identified more possible innovations that will help improve their local legislation process.
On Monday, they had an interaction with Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr as part of their week-long activity.
Kape kag Imahinasyon was originally proposed by SB Member Japhet Moleta in 2021.

UPDATES I Transportation Matters
