They were not called, instead they volunteered to serve the Miagaowanons under the leadership of Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr.
They are the members of the Citizen Crime Watch Internationale Unified Force Anti Crime and Corruption headed by Erwin Niadas and former SB member Serafin Monteclaro who came to visit Mayor Garin and expressed their support to his administration.
โ€œHappy guid ako nga may organized group rin para mag prevent kang crime sa aton nga banwa. Naga pasalamat gid ako kninyo tanan kay naga extend gd kamo kang bulig biskan wara sweldo pero concern kamo sa aton pinalangga nga banwa kag kasimanwa,โ€ Mayor Garin told them.
This however is not the first, Bantay Bayan has also offered their services for the Miagaowanons for free. In return, Mayor Garin offered them free trainings and other assistance due them.

With the full devolution of the provision of basic services and facilities as per Executive order 138 and Mandanas-Garcia Ruling, the Commission on Population and Development โ€“Region VI are now reaching out to all local government units โ€“ including Miagao and offering their assistance in the formulation of policies and measures relative to the functions of their Office.
In his courtesy visit to Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr PopCom Regional Director Harold Alfred Marshall offered their assistance for Miagao particularly in the formulation of policies and measures on population. For his part, Mayor Garin warmly welcomed the initiative as he endorsed the Memorandum of Understanding to the Sangguniang Bayan. The MOU will effect the collaboration of the PopCom and Miagao for the collaboration strategy of the Philippine Population and Development Program.

With the expected decrease in the National Tax Allotment (NTA) of all local government units, Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr told the barangays to be prudent in spending government resources.
โ€œImportante sa tulad ang paraabuton kun paano naton tipigan ang kwarta kang barangay especially now that first time nga manaba ang aton budget by 2023,โ€ said Mayor Garin during the Barangay Development and Investment Planning Workshop Day 2 at the JRBB Hall today.
Mayor Garin also instructed the Municipal Engineer and other department heads to guide the barangays official in their dispatch of duties particularly in the preparation of the program of works and estimates for barangay projects.
โ€œTudluan ta nga amligan ang kwarta ka barangay ta. Ang plano kag estimate kang proyekto ninyo dapat husto,โ€ he concluded.

In his dream of making Miagao a progressive town, Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr requested for all barangays to come up with their committees aligned with his priority agenda.
These committees are: Health and Sanitation, Social Welfare and Education, Peace and Order, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Environment and Disaster Preparedness.
These Committees will put up a counterpart fund of two percent to finance programs and projects along with that of the municipal government.
โ€œIndi mo mahambal nga Miagao is a progressive municipality kun may isa ka barangay nga mabilin,โ€ Mayor Garin said in his message to the punong barangays and secretaries during the Barangay Development and Investment Planning Workshop at the JRBB Hall today.

In appreciation to the role of teachers, Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr took some time from his busy schedule to celebrate World Teachers Day to the teachers of Miagao National High School.
โ€œThis day we celebrate World Teachers Day and you are all here to renew your friendship to all teachers and to renew your commitment to your profession to deliver quality education para sa mga kabataan kag para guid sa mga pumuluyo. You really deserve an applause,โ€ said Mayor Garin.
โ€œOn behalf of Congresswoman Janette L. Garin, kag kang bata namon nga si Rica Jane nagapanginbulahan guid kami kaninyo kay kamo guid ang nagadara kag nagadihon kang mayad kag manami nga paraabuton kang banwa kag kang aton man nga community,โ€ he said.
Along with this, Mayor Garin also bared his aspirations for Miagao, particularly his priority programs and projects for the next three years. He also thanked them for their trust, support and cooperation to his administration.
