MIAGAO, Iloilo – Eleven film production groups joined in the official lunching of the Miagao Independent Film Festival earlier today at the JRBB Hall.
The launching was the initial step in realizing the dream of Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr to
create a community of film makers in Miagao.
In his message, Mayor Garin assured them of his full support to the industry as he also oversees the progress of the event after event.
โ€œSalamat sa inyo pagpalangga sa industry kang film making kag kay Mayor Richard Garin. Basta dyan ka lang kag nagasuporta, indi ka guid namon pagpabay-an,โ€ he heart-warmingly told the participants.

Food handlers priority in SLP and additional capitalization

MIAGAO, Iloilo – Food handlers will be the priority in the list of beneficiaries for Sustainable Livelihood Program and additional capitalization.
This was the commitment of Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr to the attendees of the Seminar on Food Handlers which was a requisite in the application for Business Permit with the local government.
โ€œEvery individual has their own social responsibility. Very important guid ang pag kuha kang business permit. Gani dyang mga mapisan angay guid nga buligan. Pangitaan ta guid kang paagi nga mabuligan ang mga may negosyo,โ€ said Mayor Garin.
โ€œKag kun mag mayad ang inyo pangabuhi, pangita man kamo kang pigado nga buligan ninyo. Handum ko guid mga maggamay ang imol sa banwa ta, kay raku run kita nga manugbulig,โ€ he concluded.

RG is the acronym used by Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr for Responsableng Guro, Responsableng Gobyerno, Responsableng Ginikanan to attain yet another Responsableng Graduate.
This was the among the highlights of the message of Mayor Garin during the culminating program of the PRIMALS PLUS training for Miagao east Junior High School Teachers at Miagao National High School earlier today.
โ€œI am who I am, and I will be the best of who I will be. With this event, you will be a different teacher trained to deliver quality education to the Miagaowanon learners. Punta na ka dya is for the good of the Municipality,โ€ said Mayor Garin as he expressed his full support to the thrusts and mandate of DedEd.

10 barangays get PA system Mayor RSG to recipients: โ€˜Amligan ta kay kwarta ka gobyerno ang ginbakal ka dyaโ€™

Ten barangays with KALAHI CIDSS program received a public address system showcase worth P280,000.00 each.
In his message during the simple turn-over program, Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin, Jr told the recipients, through their punong barangays, to take care of the equipment.
โ€œMentras dyan ang pagsarig ninyo, we will do our best nga balikan ria kang mayad nga pagserbisyo. Importante dya nga proyekto because information is power, gani amligan ta guid dya kay kwarta ka gobyerno ang ginabakl ka dya,โ€ Mayor Garin said.
He also thanked Congresswoman Janette L. Garin and DSWD Regional Director Carmelo Nochete for bringing such program to Miagao.
Recipients of the project are barangays Mat-y, Aguiauan, Cawayanan, Gines, Bangladan, Bugtong Naulid, tatoy, Kirayan Norte, Maninila and Frantilla.

Some twenty Miagaowanons graduated from the 28-day electrical installation and maintenance NC2 in a simple ceremony at Barangay Wayang today.
The graduates, from barangays Wayang, Tigmarabo, San Jose and Banbanan, were also given electrical tools and equipment.
Training was facilitated by TESDA through the request of Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin to prioritize the Miagaowanons on projects like this.

On top of getting an emergency work of 10 days, these 11 beneficiaries also get toilet bowls for their use.
No less than Mayor Oscar โ€œRichardโ€ S. Garin personally handed it to the beneficiaries from Barangays Tabunacan, Dingle, and Ubos Ilaya. These beneficiaries were identified by the Municipal Health Office as beneficiaries of the program to achieve and sustain zero open defecation in Miagao.
They were also given cement to supplement it.
