Mayor RSG, DPWH assures maintenance of Damilisan Oyungan road

DAMILISAN, Miagao – Residents of Barangays Damilisan and Oyungan road need not to worry as Mayor Richard Garin and DPWH District Engineer Randy Melosantos assured the barangay officials that it will be maintained and replaced once it destroyed for the period that it is being used as alternate route.
“Ilisan ta ra if in case maguba or sugpunan ta pa. For the meantime, we will use it as an alternate route until such time that the new bridge will be constructed,” Mayor Garin told the barangay officials of Barangay Damilisan after they aired their concerns once their barangay road will be used as detour road.
Meantime, Mayor Garin instructed the officials to negotiate with the private lot owners to allow the use of their property otherwise, the government will opt to use the old road for such purpose.
Concerns like traffic and maintenance of the road were also discussed.

LGU officials awed by San Carlos City local governance

SAN CARLOS City, Negros Occidental – The municipal officials and employees of Miagao were awed by the excellent local governance of San Carlos City.
In their visit to the City, the employees were briefed of the best practices of the City particularly on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Environmental
Management.
In his message, Mayor Richard Garin thanked the the local officials headed by Mayor Rene Gustilo for their very warm hospitality.

Bagsakan, RPT Collection highlights Bais City Best Practices

BAIS City, Negros Occidental – The operation of Bagsakan and Real Property Tax Collection initiatives were among the highlights of Bais City Practices that interests’ the officials of the municipal government.
This was during their visit to the City for a Travel Conference and Learning Visitation.
The operation of Bagsakan is one of the priority programs that Mayor Garin considers in his administration, alongside efficient and effective RPT collection.
The group was warmly welcomed with a sumptuous lunch by the city officials headed by Municipal Administrator Atty. Romela Napao.
They proceeded to Valencia Negros Oriental for a view of the Mag-aso Hill and Pulang bato Falls.

Municipal employees visit Kabankalan City Learn best practices

KABANKALAN City, Negros Occidental – The municipal government officials and employees of Miagao were all ears and eager to learn some of the best practices of Kabankalan City.
This, during their 2nd day of Travel Conference and Learning Visitation in Negros Island.
Headed by Mayor Benjie Miranda, the city officials presented their best practice on health services, food security, environmental protection and social services.
In his response message, Mayor Richard Garin expressed his gratitude to the good officials as he also extended the invitation for them to visit Miagao.

Mayor RSG to employees: Ugyunan ninyo ako in achieving my dreams for Miagao

KABANKALAN CITY, NegrOs Occidental – “I dont mind kun kasan-o kamo nag sulod. What matters to me now is ugyunan ninyo ako to reach my dream of making Miagao a better place for Miagaowanons.”
This was the message of Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr to all municipal officials and permanent employees during their 4-day Travel Conference and Learning Site Visitations in Negros Island on November 10 to 13, 2022.
The Travel Conference is part of the celebration of the Civil Service Month. It was however, during the term of Mayor Garin that this activity was initiated.
“We are doing this, because we want everyone to renew their commitment and acquiantances because all work without play makes Jack and Jill a dull boy or girl,” he concluded.

Provincial Government through its Provincial Population Office formally turned over its YAKAP Center to the administration of Palaca Damilisan National High School.
The Center will be used as a community center serving adolescents in a the school and the community. As such it will provide services for at-risk teens, helpmeet their health needs, and serve to discourage anti-social behavior, among others.
