AT THE FIRST MIAGAO IFILM SUGIDADON PRODUCTIONS BAGS BEST FILM

The film URIMOS of the Sugidadon Production bagged most of the major awards including the Best Film in the First Miagao Film Festival.
Urimos is a story of a desperate mother who
blames her self for the death of her
young daughter. In her grief, she
finds solace with the old beliefs of resurrection.
Directed by Joseph Cartago, Jr, the film was also awarded:

MAYOR RSG TO EXPAND FILM MAKING IN THE COMMUNITY

With the overwhelming success of the first Miagao Film Festival, Mayor Richard Garin hopes to expand the effort to the community.
“I have asked you what have you done to Miagao, now this is something that you have done for this town. Your participation is already something,” said Mayor Garin in appreciation to the 12 production groups that responded to his call to create a community of film makers in Miagao.
“You have elevated the sense of pride of the Miagaowanons. Another first in Miagao. With this, I am hoping to expand this film making in the community,” he concluded.

FUN TALK WITH MISS ILOILO CANDIDATES

Who knows better the history and can be the best tour guide than the Mayor himself?
Mayor Richard Garin warmly welcomed the candidates of Miss Iloilo as he confidently shares history and tidbits of what the town can offer to visitors. The candidates also shared some fun talks with the Mayor.
They were here on December 21st for the learning and courtesy visits to municipalities. In the evening they were also presented to Miagaowanons during the Night with the Stars.
Miagao is represented by Lin-ay sang Hablon 2022 winner Angelica Vinson.

JAM PACKED MUNICIPAL PLAZA GARIN FAMILY SPONSORS NIGHT WITH THE STARS

It was a night filled with fun and laughters for young and old alike.
It seems like all roads led to the municipal plaza for the night with the Stars brought for the Miagaowanons by the Garin Family. It was a night filled with fun and laughters for young and old alike.
In his message though, Mayor Garin reminded everyone to “never forget the true essence of Christmas.”
“Pareho kang belen, tulad nga Pakswa bisan kulang ang regalo mo, bisan indi pa manami ang bayo mo basta imaw mo lang ang pamilya mo that is already Christmas. Ang dya nga Paskwa sa Banwa gin design para indi ninyo malipatan nga may Misa de Gallo. Ang presence mo tulad manami pero mas ma kompleto pa guid kon ma attend ikaw kang Misa de Gallo,” Mayor Garin said.

MIAGAO IS ADAC NATIONAL AWARDEE

MLGOO Mrs. Ruby Paranga presented to Mayor Richard Garin the Marker for the Municipality of Miagao as the 2022 Anti- Drug Abuse Council Performance Awardee during the joint MPOC and MADAC meeting on December 22nd.
The award, given on December 13th, is in recognition for the town’s exemplary performance of its duties in complementing the national government’s anti-drug abuse campaign and for garnering 100 functionality in the 2021 performance audit.
