MAYOR RSG LEADS DISTRIBUTION OF P70K CHECKS TO THE BARANGAYS

Miagao, Iloilo – Mayor Richard Garin has been fulfilling his promise of going back to the barangays as an ‘expression of gratitude’ for the trust and confidence of the Miagaowanons.
“Gusto ko guid magpasalamat sa inyo kooperasyon kag padayun nga pagsarig sa amon grupo. Si Richard doon tulad tungod kaninyo, tungod sa inyo pagsarig kag suporta,” Mayor Garin said.
On top of this, Mayor Garin also expressed the message of unity for the Miagaowanons.
“Tapos ron ang election. Dapat sa tulad maghugpong kita para sa banwa ta. May mga bagay nga kun kaisa indi man kita mag intiendihanay, pero para sa banwa ta, dapat buylugan ta,” he said.
Mayor Garin with VM Macario Napulan, SB Cezar Florece, SB Aaron Noble, and SB Mazert Torrecampo visited barangays Pudpud, Bariri, Tambong, and Aguiauan to release the check amounting to P70,000.00. It will be used by the barangays to finance projects that will be beneficial to the people.

The Local School Board members approved on March 3, 2023, the funding and financial assistance to the Miagaowanon athletes and participants to the First Congressional District Sports Association Meet 2023.

65 couples tie the knot in Miagao mass wedding

MIAGAO, Iloilo – Mayor Richard Garin officiated the civil wedding of 65 Miagaowanon couples at the JRBB Hall on February 28, 2023.
In his message, Mayor Garin called on all the couples to “be one” for their family and the municipality.
“You have to be one para sa pamilya niyo para man sa banwa ta because indi ta malab-ot ang success kang ginadamgu ta para sa pamilya ta kag sa banwa kon wara kita nagahiribati kag naga irinaway sa sulod kapanimalay,” said Mayor Garin.
According to Mayor Garin, the romance should not stop after the marriage.
“The best gift that you can give to your love ones is your time and your presence kag indi mo guid pg untatan ang pagpangaluyag sa bana, asawa mo,” he added.
This first civil mass wedding under the Garin administration was initiated and facilitated by the Office of the Municipal Registrar headed by Mrs. Ma. Teresa Jambre.
All the perks of the wedding were provided for free by Mayor Garin, the local government unit, and some generous sponsors.

TABUK SA SUBA NO MORE 35MILLION LA CONSOLACION – IGBITA BRIDGE ON THE WAY

It will be a happy Christmas for the people of Barangays Ongyod, Toog, Igbita, La Consolacion and Tigmalapad.
This, after the Good Fortune International, Inc and the Department of Public Works and Highways assured the people that the La Consolacion – Igbita Bridge will completed in December 2023.
“Saksi kamo sa sakripisyo kang mga tawo sa pagtabuk sa ka dya nga suba. Pasalamatan ta guid si Congresswoman Janette L. Garin kag Mayor Richard Garin sa pagpatigayun kag ang mga barangay officials nag pagpangayu kang ka dya nga project,” Mr. Damiano Nique of the DPWH said during the pre construction conference of the project.
The construction of La Consolacion – Igbita Bridge includes the construction of 124 linear meter bridge with a 6.7 meter carriageway and 1.5 meter shoulder on both sides including approached, flood protection structure, grouted riprap slope protection, open lined canal, sidewalk and railings.
This project is funded by a special release to the DPWH through the effort of Congresswoman Garin.
