Personnel from the MDRRMC are testing the speed and reliability of their newly procured rescue boat which will be used in water search and rescue operations especially during the challenges of extreme weather and sea waves.

Some 40 piece of these eco bags produced by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office will be placed on display at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol starting Monday, July 18, 2022.
Mr. Isidro Mosura, OIC MENRO, said that the Provincial Governnment through the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO) will sell these eco-friendly bags made of “upcycled” election campaign materials.
Upcycling of election campaign materials aims to minimize election plastic wastes.

In response to the instruction of Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr to observe basic cleanliness of the market, Ms.T. Arlene Nufuar of the GSO put up more effort into orderliness and cleanliness keeping it more presentable to both business owners and market-goers.
Photos show some jobbings inside the market to include:
-flushing of the Fish and Meat Section
– repair of the old CR for the Fish and Meat Section
– clearing of the vacant market space (corner Nonato- Octaviano Streets)
It may be noted that Mayor Garin visited the Market Saturday morning to see the actual situation in the area.

Engineer at Work

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr giving specific instructions to the engineers of the DPWH 1st Engineering District and IBC Builders, the contractor of the P48million shoreline protection project in Barangay Baybay Norte earlier today.
Mayor Garin, an engineer by profession, instructed them how it should be done to ensure an even stronger foundation to effectively alter the effects of waves in the area.
During the inspection, Mayor Garin was joined by BM Carmelo Nochete, SB member Aaron Noble and Engr. Rey Mosura.

In between round of inspection, Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin Jr. stopped to a short meet and greet with his constituents leaving it smiles in their faces.
