“Do not only repay kindness, pass it on. If you only repay kindness, the chain of love and kindness will stop, and will naturally die. If you pass it on, even when we are already dead and gone in this world, the chain of love and kindness will go on and on, will continue and continue,” Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin. Jr. said in his message as he personally handed over the check as livelihood assistance to 27 Miagaowanons.
The beneficiaries identified are parents/guardians of profiled child laborers from Barangays Tumagboc and Cagbang. They received the amount of P30,000.00 as livelihood assistance which form part of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program.
With the program, the government hopes to eradicate child labor in Miagao.

‘Civil Registration’

As per the directive of Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr to bring the government closer to the people and true to their mandate of counting all Miagaowanons, the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar under the leadership of Mrs. Ma Teresa Jambre is now conducting mobile registration.
On time for the Brigada Eskwela of the schools, Mrs. Jambre are accepting requests for processing of birth certificate and other vital documents with the Philippine Statistics Office. She will be at Alejandro Firmeza Memorial National High School until August 28, 2022.
Among the services offered are:
-Registration of Live Birth
-Registration of Marriage
-Registration of Death
-Legitimation
-Receive applications for the Issuance of Marriage License
-Correction of Clerical Error/Change of Name
-Issue certified transcripts of copies of any certificate or document registered
-Endorsement of documents
-Affidavit of acknowledgement/admission of paternity

Provincial Population Officer Engr. Ramon C. Yee, MPG paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr and personally handed over the signed Memorandum of Agreement for the Establishment of the Multi Purpose Counseling situated at the 2nd Floor of the JRBB Hall.
They also presented the Miagao Population Profille 2019 to 2021. For 2022, Miagao has a total population of 72,267.
Engr. Yee was joined by PPO Ms. Eireen Digcaboon and Most Outstanding Ilonggo Ms. Rose Mary Galvan.

The NCCA personnel were here for two days to extend their technical assistance in updating world heritage marker particularly for the baroque Miagao Church.
