Farmer group gets 2.6million irrigation project. Thank you Congresswoman Garin, Mayor Garin

“Salamat Congresswoman Janette L. Garin hanggud guid dya nga bulig sa mga farmers naton nga makapatigayon man kami kang amon 3rd cropping. Hanggud guid dya nga bulig sa amon pangabuhian, sa amon pamilya,” said Sitio Bangi Irrigation Association President Joan Maestrecampo during the pre-construction conference of the Bangi Communal Irrigation Project.
The Association members are the primary beneficiaries of the 2.6 million irrigation project of the National Irrigation Administration through the facilitation of Congresswoman Janette L. Garin.
In his speech, Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr. said that project like this is their way of giving back to the people of Miagao for their trust, support and love to him and his family.
“Salamat sa inyo pagbaton kanakon. Salamat sa inyo kumpyansa, pagsarig, pagsuporta kag pagpalangga,” said Mayor Garin.

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr confers with LTC Harold Garcia of the Philippine Army and Mr. Vicente Melliza, Jr of CENRO Guimbal to review the proposed plans for the utilization of the DENR and Philippine Army properties in Barangays Kirayan Tacas and Igtuba, this municipality.
Once and for all, Mayor Garin hopes to settle this matter in order to advance some plans like the putting up of Miagao high school buildings and access roads in the area.

Earlier today, Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr meets the men and women behind Miagao Salakayan Inc., the financial arm of the famous Salakayan Festival.
Headed by President Mrs. Vilma Degracia, MSI is an active group that generates and manages private funds to finance not just some activities of the Salakayan but also of Hablon Festival. They are also the prime movers during the annual Paskwa sa Miagao particularly the Halad sa Kabataan.
Mayor Garin was happy to have a short dialogue with the group as he hopes to establish a good working relationship with them. He also shares to them his plans and future projects for Miagao.

‘ELCAC barangays get additional support’

An additional ten barangays in the municipality of Miagao will be recipient of projects under the Local Government Support Fund- Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
Earlier today, the DILG – Miagao led in the orientation to barangay officials of barangays Agdum, Oya-oy, Igsoligue, Tigmalapad, Tigmarabo, Cabalaunan, Ongyod, Onop, Mabayan and Tiglawa. They were guided as to the identification of barangay projects that will answer concerns being faced by the barangays.
For his part, Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin. Jr. acknowledged the roles of barangays in ending local communist armed conflicts as he thanked them for being in the forefront of maintaining the peace and order in their respective barangays. He also lauded the national government for bringing programs of this like to the people.
Mayor Garin also asked them to continue to support the DILG, PNP, Philippine Army and the MGU in all of their plans and programs.
In 2021, barangays Wayang, Banbanan , and San Jose also received projects totaling to P20 million under this program.
