‘LifeBEAT Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services’

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin warmly welcomed the men and women of LifeBEAT Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services as they paid a courtesy call today.
It was learned that the group offers an international standard ambulance service with first aid and pre-hospital care to Miagaowanons. Their services will be made available for free during the celebration of Hablon Festival on September 16 to 22, 2022.

UPDATES I MELLPI Pro

The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team are here today for the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro – for the Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar, Municipal Nutrition Coordinator and Municipal Nutrition Action Officer.
On behalf of Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr, the team was warmly welcomed by OIC Municipal Administrator John Nocal and MHO Dr. Rhea Palacios.
The Team will assess the status of nutrition program implementation and at the same time provide additional insights that will help advance the
Program.

‘Conversation with Local Executives’

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr headed the Miagao LGU group who attended the two-day CSC seminar on Conversation with Local Executives at the Iloilo Convention Center on August 30-31, 2022.
When asked of his reflection during the Seminar, Mayor Garin strongly expressed worries on the effect to Personnel Services of the 15% reduction in the 2023 Budget. While at the same time, he also thanked the CSC for their commitment to guide the LGUs in this “pandemic problem”.
The Conversation with Local Executives aims to guide local elective officials on their powers, duties and responsibilities on human resource management and other Civil Service matters.
Mayor Garin was among the participants that include Governors, Vice- Governors, Mayors, Vice Mayors, SB Members, and HR Heads. For Miagao, Mayor Garin was joined by OIC Administrator John Nocal, OIC HRMO/ Tourism Officer Mary Diane Flordeliza, OIC MBO Sheila Marie Montehermoso and Municipal Accountant Maylene Servidad.

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr, with LTC Harold Garcia of the Philippine Army, led the ceremonial turnover of cheques amounting to P5,000.00 to 32 Miagaowanon former members of the communist New People’s Army (NPA) earlier today.
According to Mayor Garin, this Sustainable Livelihood Program from the DSWD will enable the former rebels to engage in livelihood enterprises as they start anew together with their families.
