Mayor RSG meets farmer groups and associations Hears their needs

True to his commitment, Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr gathered today the officers of various farmer associations and cooperatives for a consultative meeting.
It may be recalled that Mayor Garin promised to support the exhibitors of all farmer cooperatives and associations that joined the AgroTrade Fair 2022.
“We want to help your association. Kay kun buligan ta ang tawo nga mga tamad, it will doom to fail kay wara man sa kalag da. Buligan ta ang mga tawo nga active,” said Mayor Garin.
During the meeting, each of the presidents of the associations was asked of their needs. They were also informed of the plans, programs, and activities lined up for 2023.

UPDATES I Pudpud Agri-Farm SLPA gets P300,000.00 PAMANA Grant

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr. personally turned over the cheque amounting to P300,000.00 to Pudpud Agri-Farm Special Livelihood Program Association through President Rachel Sibua.
The check forms part of the PAMANA grant to isolated, hard-to-reach and conflict-affected communities across the country. It was turned over to Mayor Garin by Provincial Coordinator Iloilo Province Anthony Laruan.
It was learned that the amount will be used for the purchase of farm inputs for use by the members of the association.
“Pera mo palaguin mo. Dapat I negosyo, indi ninyo pag I distribute sa kada miembro,” Mayor Garin said as he challenged them that the association should gain an even higher profit to sustain the grant.

Reception for the poor Mayor RSG shares life experiences

The reception for the poor turned out to be a “getting-to-know” Mayor Richard S. Garin, Jr as he shared his life’s experiences of gratitude, love, and forgiveness.
According to him, when they were young, the Garin siblings they would do the daigon with the poor. Visit their houses and bring presents.
“Hugot-hugot nga pagpasalamat nga ikaw daw mahibi ka man sa kalipay. The feeling radiates. Na relive kami sa kakapoy. That is why, since elementary grade, asta nagdaragkul kami, asta nag intra sa politika, social welfare program is always part of our lives,” he said.
In Miagao, Mayor Garin said that he has instructed the MSWD to appropriate sufficient funds for a social services programs, especially to the bed-ridden.
The Reception for the Poor is an annual event sponsored by the Daughters of Mary Immaculate relative to the Feast of St. Thomas of Villanova.
This year, Mayor Garin sponsored the lunch of some 250 beneficiaries of the program.

‘Kuratsa sa Hablon’ UPDATES I Mayor RSG extends assistance to schools

Overwhelmed by the participation in the 1st Kuratsa sa Hablon, Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr pledges assistance to all elementary and secondary schools in Miagao.
In his speech during the Kuratsa sa Hablon, Mayor Garin said he will allocatedP20,000.00 as maintenance fund for the repair of classrooms of all schools in Miagao. He also shared his plan to provide all the schools and barangays with loom weaving equipment (tiral).
“We will ask them to make it as part of their curriculum and we will also provide loom weaving equipment in the barangay to meet the demands in orders,” he said.
The Kuratsa sa hablon was participated in by eight secondary schools who danced to tell stories of weaving and hablon in Miagao.

Mayor Oscar “Richard” S. Garin, Jr led the flock of Miagaowanon faithfuls who gathered for the Opening Mass in celebration of Hablon Festival 2022 at the Parish of St. Thomas of Villanova earlier today.
In his message, Mayor Garin highlighted the “three magic words’ – I love you Lord, Thank you Lord, and I am sorry Lord – as the reasons why Miagaowanons were committed to come to hear the Mass today.
“I love you because we want to express our trust and confidence to the Almighty and the people. Thank you because we are so grateful in this situation in this time of the pandemic. I am sorry because we want to preserve friendship,” he explained.
He also called on everyone to start towards the progress and development of Miagao.
