Mayor Richard Garin revisited the staffing pattern, schedule of duty, and duties and responsibilities of the MDRRMO personnel among others in a quick meeting with them earlier today.

‘WHO Healthy Hearts Project interview with Mayor RSG’

“We are lucky and happy that Miagao is one of the pilot sites for the implementation of this Healthy Hearts Project of the World Health Organization. This is helpful for the people of the first district particularly of Miagao. With this, we felt that we are loved most by the WHO. Thank you so much.”
This was the highlight in the statement of Mayor Richard Garin during the media interview of the WHO earlier today.
The WHO will end its project implementation of the Health Hearts Project in December. It may be noted that Miagao is one of the pilot sites of the project.
To date it has 2,795 enrolled Miagaowanon patients who were direct beneficiaries of the hypertension initiatives of the WHO through the Rural Health Unit of Miagao.

DPWH prepping the grounds as an alternate route for heavy vehicles.
It may be noted that it has been the commitment of the DPWH to Congresswoman Janette L. Garin to fast track the preparation of the detour route. District Engineer Randolfo Melosantos when asked said that the preparation will take them one week only.

Earlier today, Miagao was one of the recepients of the Municipal-wide Zero Open Defecation Achievement Award given by by the Department of Heath and UNICEF during the Celebration of World Toilet Day 2022 at the Grand Social Hall, Case Real de Iloilo, Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
The plaque, along with the cash incentive of P20,000.00, was received by Dr. Rhea Palacios.
