Mayor Richard Garin called on all business owners and proprietors to “unite as one for Miagao”.

“Tapos ron ang election, nag imaway man kita ukon wara, wara problema. Importante, we should be one for Miagao. (Mayor) Richard cannot do it alone, kun wara ang inyo suporta.” he said.

Mayor Garin said that he also aspires for Miagao to be a business-friendly municipality where the members of the business sectors are protected by law.

“Hoping someday that with our partnership we will be named a business-friendly municipality. Buligan ta ikaw, buligan mo man ang Miagao. Amo ra ang purpose, relationship, and friendship and build up commitment for Miagao,” he said.

Mayor Garin personally distributed the laminated business permits of all business owners who have processed their renewal for 2023.

Congresswoman Janette L. Garin gave her assurance that she will be with the punong barangays “through ups and downs”.

In her speech during the Liga Night at the Municipal Plaza on February 9, 2023, Congresswoman Garin said that there are some barangay officials who are hesitant to give it another try in the next barangay elections.

“Do not be destructed by your detractors. Ang importante kabalu ka kang direction mo, kabalu ka kun diin mo dal-on ang imo barangay. When you do your job, partner ron rigyan ang mga reklamo. Ang mga wara reklamo, it is usually because they are not working,” she said.

Congresswoman Janette L. Garin could be one proud wife to her husband Mayor Richard Garin as she sees his ‘sincerity and dedication for the town of Miagao.’

“Richard decided to take this gigantic task of being your Mayor, it is not a walk in a park. Only that the people of Miagao is worth serving for,” Congresswoman Garin said in her speech during the Coronation of the Queen of Miagao 2023 on February 9, 2023.

For Congresswoman Garin, being “Miagaowanon is not only measured by being born here, it is measured by having the passion, the commitment and the pride to make good for your town.”

The couple shares the same vision for Miagao. To date, they are working on the implementation of some huge infrastructure projects that include the construction of the four-storey municipal building and rehabilitation of the cultural hall and plaza.

It is the wife who knows her husband.

This may just be a cliché to some but not for Congresswoman Janette L. Garin who assured all Miagaowanons that when they (together with her husband Mayor Richard Garin) do public service, they do public service.

“What is power all about? It is nothing. What is more important is the legacy, the name that you can leave for your children and your grandchildren. Sara lang ang bata namon ni Richard, we can possibly leave her with all the material things, but all of those will be nothing if we will leave her with bad, tainted name,” Congresswoman Garin said.

Congresswoman Garin also thanked the Miagaowaonons for accepting Mayor Garin in their lives.

“When you accepted him, it is actually an inclination that you accepted us as part of your family. Miagaowanons salamat guid!” she concluded.
