Miagao was among the municipalities in the Province of Iloilo that was chosen as the venue for the visit of media influencers.
They came to Miagao on February 21st as part of the 3-day Philippine Tour Guidesβ Hybrid Conference 2023 on February 18-22, 2023.
The visit was also an opportunity for the town to showcase its best tourist attractions, one of which is the Miagao Church.
For the part of the organizers, Provincial Tourism Officer Mr. Gilbert Marin expressed his gratitude to the Municipality headed by Mayor Richard Garin and Tourism Officer Mrs. Mary Diane Flordeliza for the warm accommodation.

Starting the year right. These Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPO) gather today at the JRBB Hall for the performance evaluation and target (PET) setting.
BSPOs are community workers who provide family planning services and gather population data in the barangay.

It will be an easier trip for the residents of Bugtong Lumangan, Diday, and Tambong in the coming days.
This was after the Department of Public Works and Highways and Asia Structural Developer Corp conducted the pre-construction conference with the residents of Barangays Lumangan and Diday at Barangay Lumangan Hall on February 17, 2023.
The project covers the construction of the 5 meters x 960 meters concrete road with one meter shoulder, grouted rip rap, and stone-masonry.

Another P25 million road project will commence in March 2023.
This is for the construction of Oyungan β Igcabidio β Ilog-ilog β Narorogan and portion of Igsoligue Road.
βAmat-amaton ta lang. Ang iban nga pulitiko kun diin ang raku botante rigtu ginabutang ang proyekto, but because palangga ko kamo, kag kinahanglanon ninyo dya, ginpatigayon ta guid dya,β said Mayor Richard Garin during the pre-construction conference of the project at Barangay Igcabidio on February 15, 2023.
The project covers the construction of the 5meter X 1,760 meters concrete road, separated in sections with concrete lined canal.
For their part, the residents thanked Mayor Garin for this beneficial project.
