Camp Monteclaro could be the luckiest to receive a multi-million fund for the rehabilitation of its structures from Congresswoman Doc Nanay Janette L. Garin.
On May 26, 2024, no less than Congresswoman Garin headed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Siguridad (TIKAS) Project at its site in Barangay Igtuba.
In his message, Mayor Richard Garin thanked Congresswoman Garin for her commitment and support in the peace and order efforts of the municipality.
He also highlighted the dedication to service of each and every soldier, stating that they “deserve to feel comfortable and safe inside the camp.”
“You cannot appreciate the government’s program without peace and order. Big or small, we are truly grateful. Now you deserve a much more comfortable and safe camp,” Mayor Garin said.
The rehabilitation works inside the camp include the barracks, mess hall, admin building, and roads, among others.
It is being funded by the congressional fund of Congresswoman Garin and will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
