The Municipality of Miagao bagged the Red Orchid Hall of Fame Award during the 2024 Health Excellence and Leadership (HEAL) Awards at the Iloilo Convention Center on December 6, 2024.
The Red Orchid Award is an award system developed by the DOH to encourage the LGUs and other government agencies and hospitals to actively implement the 100% Tobacco-Free and other related policies.
Moreover, Miagao was recognized with the following:
-1st Place -Top Performing Local Government Unit in the Nutrition Program Implementation in the Province of Iloilo
-Dr. Rhea Palacios -Top Performing Municipal Nutrition Action Officer in the Province of Iloilo
-Ms. Ana Liza Muralla, Brgy. Bugtong Naulid -Top Performing Barangay Nutrition Scholar in the Province of Iloilo
-2nd Place -Top Performing LGU in the Integrated Helminth Control Program Implementation in the Province of Iloilo
-LGUs with invaluable contribution and outstandingsupport during the 2024 Galing Pook Awards Site Validation for the entry “Puso para sa Puso: Movement for the Healthy Hearts Towards MorProGRes Iloilo
-3rd Place -Top Performing LGU in the National immunization Program Implementatio in the Province of Iloilo
