All sectors, led by Mayor Richard Garin, gathered for the celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day in Miagao today, June 12, 2024.

The event, which unfolded in three stages at the Municipal Building, Municipal Plaza, and JRBB Hall, each underscored the pivotal moments of 1962. This historic day, celebrated annually on June 12, marks the nation’s declaration of independence from Spanish colonial rule in 1898, an event that indelibly altered the course of Philippine history.

This year’s keynote speaker, Mr. Felipe Montealto, PhD (hc), emphasized the theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan.”
